1. GENERAL
SeriouslyItalian’s cooking classes are aimed to facilitate and promote the understanding of the Italian cooking tradition’s basic principles only. Practical results may vary depending on customers’ personal attitude and skills as well as quality of ingredients and other materials. Consequently, no representation is made as to customers being capable, following any classes, of matching samples which had been the subject of such classes.
It is a duty of customers to carefully review receipts and ingredients and notify SerioulsyItalian in advance of any specific dietary requirements and/or food allergies (or other medical condition, including pregnancy). SeriouslyItalian does not undertake any responsibility in case of a customer’s failure to provide notice as specified above. Where provided, samples and descriptions are intended for information purposes only, therefore SeriouslyItalian does not guarantee the correspondence whether by taste, appearance or otherwise of a meal prepared in class to any such samples and descriptions.
Ingredients and other materials are provided by SeriouslyItalian according to the menu selected for any particular class and subject to availability. Any change following shortage of any ingredient and/or material will be communicated to customers in advance and appropriate replacement provided. SeriouslyItalian warrants the freshness of all ingredients and other materials, excluding, unless otherwise agreed in advance, any additional characteristics such as origin, organic nature, absence of preservatives and similar.
2. BOOKING
Classes are booked on-line via the booking form provided or via telephone. Customers are invited to submit queries in relation to any menu on display as well as special requests which shall be considered on a case-by-case basis. Any booking shall specify menu (including dietary requirements and/or food allergies if relevant), date, time, expected duration and premises. SerioulsyItalian will use its best efforts, but will not be obliged, to submit a quote and satisfy any booking requests, provided however that none shall be considered as accepted unless so confirmed in writing by SeriouslyItalian.
Upon confirmation, customers shall, unless otherwise agreed, be required to pay onto the designated account an amount equal to [10]% of the agreed price as a deposit. SerioulsyItalian reserves the right to cancel any booking so confirmed by at least [3] working days prior written notice, in which case any deposit will be promptly repaid with no further obligation. In case of cancellation by customers, SeriouslyItalian shall be entitled to forfeit the deposit and, where expenses in relation to the class have already been incurred, receive the excess, if any, of the amount of such expenses over the deposit.
3. SERVICE
Classes shall be given according to any booking by personnel selected by SeriouslyItalian at its discretion. SerioulsyItalian shall use its best efforts to accommodate a customer’s request of any specific individual, provided customers acknowledge and accept it might not be possible due to availability and other commitments.
Throughout the class customers are required to follow, and act in accordance with, the directions and other instructions given by the provider. SerioulsyItalian will therefore under no circumstance be liable for any damage or inconvenient ultimately resulting from customers’ failure to comply with any such direction or instructions.
4. SAFETY
Unless otherwise agreed, classes are given at customers’ premises. Customers are responsible for providing the necessary equipment and appliances and verifying the fitness and functioning thereof as well as the general safety of the premises. No liability, save as to negligence, is therefore assumed by SeriouslyItalian in respect of any damage and/or loss of enjoyment which might result of any defect or lack of adequacy affecting any of the above.
Customers shall, if so requested by SerioulsyItalian, take those additional actions and put in place those additional measures as required to ensure that the service be rendered in the safest fashion possible.
5. PRIVACY
In order to process customers booking, SerioulsyItalian may collect personal details. Such details may include (where applicable) names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, credit/debit card or other payment details. In some instances SerioulsyItalian may also collect information regarding medical conditions, which may affect the chosen menu.
Customers’ data may be used for the following purposes: contacts in the event of a class time change or cancellation, credit or other payment card verification/screening, health, legal purposes, marketing analysis, customer surveys and customer relations communications. SeriouslyItalian follows strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure, if consented, of customers’ information.
6. GOVERNING LAW
These terms and conditions are governed by, and construed in accordance with, English law and English courts retain exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising therefrom.
